A little about us...

Heather and Heidi both started out at a large retail chain. They worked side by side in a busy grooming salon. Heather went off to a private grooming salon and became the salon manager. Heidi became the salon manager at the large retail store. Both decided that it was time for a change and that is how Pet Strands Grooming was formed. There is 20 years of grooming experience between the two of them.

Amanda is a pet stylist. The pets she grooms look like show stoppers. Speaking of shows, she likes to show her miniature horse during her free time.

Itzel is a pet stylist. She is new to grooming but she has natural talent. The pets she grooms look picture perfect, just like her handsome dog, Harrison.

Safety

Safety is our number one priority at Pet Strands Grooming. Your pet is in good hands with us. There is always at least one staff member present who is CPR and first aid certified. We have also been trained in the AKC S.A.F.E certification class, which teaches the best grooming industry practices for the safety and well being of pets.
We believe that having your pet groomed is an integral part in your pets health care. Vet bills can be very expensive, but regular grooming can help prevent some common conditions.
  • Ear plucking and cleaning can help prevent ear infections.
  • Trimming hair around the eyes can help prevent eye injury/infections.
  • Trimming nails can help prevent broken, ingrown and torn nails. Long nails can also contribute to arthritis.
  • Skin problems/growths can be located during the grooming process, that may have been hidden.

Outlaw Dogs Rescue

Heather is also the president of Outlaw Dogs Rescue. Outlaw Dogs Rescue is a non-profit that rescues dogs from high kill rate shelters and from situations where their pet parents can no longer care for them. After rescuing them, they are placed in foster homes until their forever home can be found. Please considering fostering, without fosters, there would be no rescue. For more information about fostering please call 714-925-1006.
